Fast and Delicious
Our natural grasslands create excellent cover for our hard-flying pheasants and wild chukars, making the dogs run hard, and exciting for the hunters.
We are involved in conservation and restoration of the local bird populations, and are committed to being good stewards over the land while using it for shooting excursions.
Pheasants
Pheasants are characterised by strong sexual dimorphism, males being highly decorated with bright colors and adornments such as wattles. Males are usually larger than females and have longer tails. Our hard-flying pheasants are provided by the BC Pheasant Company.

Wild Chukar
Crows Bar and Lower Ranch host wild populations of chukar (aka devil birds), which can be hunted in October and November within the BC provincial hunting and trapping regulations. The wild chukar hunting here is exhilarating and physically demanding. The chukars are explosively fast downhill flyers, but can race back up hill—in some cases gaining 500–1000 feet of altitude—in very short order.
