High Country Sporting Birds is a Canadian upland bird hunting outfitter owned and operated by Charlie Squarey in beautiful Big Bar, BC dedicated to provide an exceptional and affordable pheasant hunting experience in a spectacular setting.

Our shooting packages are fully customizable and personally tailored to suit your dogs, and your shooting style. We offer shoots with or without a dog/handler, and different arenas with unique topographical features and challenges.

Who We Are

Operator Charlie Squarey grew up shooting and riding in this area and knows the landscape well in every season. He is passionate about raising and training German Shorthaired Pointers for hunting. Our main season is mid-August to end of November, but we’re happy to provide affordable pheasant hunting packages through March. We also have areas for off-season dog training and facilities to hold sporting dog trials and tests.
